About the Author

My name is Margie Wiesner Hunter and I have wanted to write down my stories for ever so long. It took an act of God to settle me down and have me get serious about writing down some things. More on that later. Right now I live in Kansas with my husband, Terry. We've had a very rich and full life together and have taken in and adopted Rescue Airedales — perhaps it would be more appropriate to say we have been owned by three Airedales. And we have one more right now that isn't even ours! We enjoy traveling for scuba diving, visiting National Parks and geocaching. We also enjoy movies and spending time with our children and grands. We have been so blessed in this life.

Margie Wiesner Hunter was born in Pennsylvania, as the youngest of four children. She's lived in Kansas since just after her youngest child was born in 1979. Her latest project is a legacy series of her life with siblings, parents and friends. She enjoys reading, writing, scuba diving and geocaching.

Why Do I Write?

Her purpose in writing

We have a God who listens, meets us on every page of our lives and who faithfully writes hope into even our hardest chapters. I write because I want to share with others — my children and grands, my friends and people I don't even know — how God has been with me all through my life, leading me, guiding me and protecting me with His guardian angels, even before I knew it, through unexpected rescues, quiet whispers, answered prayers and countless moments I only recognized as God's handiwork in hindsight.

And very importantly, while I was yet a sinner, He died for me. Even before I was born, God knew me and had a purpose for my life. And one day that purpose would include telling my stories. All my life He has loved me with an unfathomable, unconditional love. Before I drew my first breath, He had already prepared a purpose for my life. He never stopped pursuing me. Through His Holy Spirit, He gently called, patiently waiting and lovingly drew me back to Himself. These are my stories, given to me for such a time as this.

A friend of mine, and editor, RJ Thesman, told me, "one of the beautiful things we can do in life is to help another human being. We honor God by honoring others. And if we can help another person, then our lives have not been wasted." — Marketing for Writers, page 12.

My hope is that as you read these pages, you'll begin to recognize God's fingerprints in your own life as well. If these stories help even one person recognize God's faithfulness, draw closer to Him and experience the peace that only He can give, then every page will have been worth writing.

A day to remember
